    The military provides two options for the use of your BAH. Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
    The first option is living on post. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off post. We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH.

    • On post housing at Fort Myer consists of 88 historic dwelling units and family housing is very limited. You can contact the on-post housing for the close by JB Anacostiia-Bolling  JB Anacostia/Bolling is privatized and operated by Hunt Military Housing  (202) 715-3659. Hunt Military Housing offers 3-4 homes based upon rank and family size. The home amenities can include: Stainless steel appliances, central A/C, washer/dryer hookups and a utility allowance. The community amenities include: Swimming pool, splash park, softball field, dog park and fitness center.

    Surrounding Areas
    Arlington and the surrounding areas are highly populated and offer a wide variety of housing for every size family. Alexandria, Springfield, McLean, Annandale, Falls Church, and Fairfax are all within a 30 minute commute of Fort Myer. Washington D.C. is just a 15-20 minute drive across the Potomac River. Columbia is one of Maryland's most populated areas. It's a unique city in that it is made up of 10 villages which act as self-sustaining sub-divisions. A good portion of the city is made up of recreational facilities, shopping centers, and performing arts venues to create a pleasant living area for its residents. The cities near MCCS Henderson Hall are: Arlington, Alexandria, Washington DC, Annandale, Falls Church, McLean, Bethesda, and Silver Spring.

    About Fort Myer
    Fort Myer is home to the First and Fourth battalions of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment and services personnel working throughout the National Capital Region. During World War I, Fort Myer was a staging area for many engineering, artillery, and chemical companies. Due to the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure, the Army's Fort Myer and the Marines' Henderson Hall became the first joint base. Together, the two installations serve over 150,000 military personnel and are known as Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. For more information click here
