    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on post or finding a home off-post within the community.

    • Once you have orders to move, contact The Executive Management Housing Division (EMHD) at (703) 696-2623.They can answer all of your housing questions and provide services such as referrals, resolving tenant-landlord disputes, and guidance for entering lease agreements.

    Fort Myer On Post Housing  

    • Single and Unaccompanied Soldiers can contact the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (703) 693-0319 for information about the First Sergeant's Barracks Program.

    • On-post housing at Fort Myer is provided by Army Family Housing (703) 696-0937 / 9611. Housing is quite limited for JB Myer-Henderson Hall, so there may be wait times for accomodations.

    Surrounding Areas
    Arlington and the surrounding areas are highly populated and offer a wide variety of housing for every size family. Alexandria, Springfield, McLean, Annandale, Falls Church, and Fairfax are all within a 30 minute commute of Fort Myer. Washington D.C. is just a 15-20 minute drive across the Potomac River. Columbia is one of Maryland's most populated areas. It's a unique city in that it is made up of 10 villages which act as self-sustaining sub-divisions. A good portion of the city is made up of recreational facilities, shopping centers, and performing arts venues to create a pleasant living area for its residents. The cities near MCCS Henderson Hall are: Arlington, Alexandria, Washington DC, Annandale, Falls Church, McLean, Bethesda, and Silver Spring.

    About Fort Myer
    Fort Myer is home to the First and Fourth battalions of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment and services personnel working throughout the National Capital Region. During World War I, Fort Myer was a staging area for many engineering, artillery, and chemical companies. Due to the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure, the Army's Fort Myer and the Marines' Henderson Hall became the first joint base. Together, the two installations serve over 150,000 military personnel and are known as Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. For more information click here
